Berggasthaus Butz'n Wirt in Ruhpolding

If you are looking for warmth, tranquility and a "rustic atmosphere" on vacation, this is the place for you! We stayed at the Butzn Wirt for a week in August. The small inn for almost 12 guests is located outside the town of Ruhpolding. From the first moment you could just feel good, especially because of the incredibly warm-hearted host couple! Both are open-minded, genuinely interested and have lots of leisure tips ready for the area. The food was really good and we ate on site almost every night. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Saturdays - but that wasn't a problem either. The hosts are happy to take care of reservations in another restaurant and always have a good idea ready. For house guests there is a kind of "minibar based on trust". Everyone is sure to find a drink or a snack here for in between or during the time when the restaurant is closed. On the terrace, one half is always reserved for house guests and there are also two separate small rooms inside - so you don't have to worry about not getting a place at the desired time. But what is really worth it - and has already earned 5 stars - is the rich breakfast! Served on the terrace when the weather is nice - wonderful! The house and the room itself are noisy and the floor creaks a bit. However, due to its age, the house is absolutely forgiven for this and gives the whole thing more charm. For us it is clear: If Ruhpolding again - then only in the Butzn Wirt!

Thank you for the very friendly and open greeting. After your stay at the Malerwinkel am Chiemsee, a treat. The hosts are refreshing in their way. It's incredibly beautiful here. I won't tell you more, please visit it yourself. It's really worth it.

A "romantic inn", which among other things is closed on Saturday and otherwise doesn't open until 5pm? The air is also getting thinner in tour strongholds.

Great family-run mountain inn in an incredibly beautiful mountain location. We stayed at the Butz`n Wirt for 9 nights and felt very comfortable every day. Ideal for hiking and MTB riding. Out the door and you are in the mountain immediately. In the evening you simply reward yourself with a great dinner with probably the best cuisine in Ruhpolding! We are already looking forward to our next vacation at the Butz'n Wirt!

We loved it! Super delicious and very freshly prepared dishes. A quaint, beautiful ambience in the dining room and a great view from the terrace. The service was also super nice and attentive. What more do you want? We would love to come back.

Very, very nice hosts. No matter what food, they were all great and really Bavarian. But I also ate the best Dutch sauerbraten here. You sit here in the middle of nature with many crickets chirping as if they were chirping. But be sure to pre-order.

The Butznhof is a place to feel good all around! The historic building is stylish and renovated with great attention to detail, without losing its original character. The Jansens are exceptionally friendly and attentive hosts. You feel at home! The catering is just as exceptional. After a great and varied breakfast, don't forget to make a reservation for dinner. We tried our way through the menu for four days - whether meat, fish or vegetarian - we ate consistently excellent. Everything freshly prepared from the best regional products by a top chef Thank you very much - keep it up !!!!

Definitely to be recommended! Super warm hosts, idyllic location, beautiful rooms and very good food in the restaurant. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back!

If you don't know the Butznwirt, you absolutely have to go - whether just to eat or stay overnight, the hosts Marc and Rachel make every visit something special 👍

The perfect place to spend your holiday. The food is delicious and not expensive. Also the owners are really friendly and will help you with anything. They know everything about the area and they will recommend the best places where you should go. Furthermore the location is beautiful and peaceful. I would reccommend this place to anybody because we had a wonderful time and we will come back for sure.

Child-friendly mountain inn with sun terrace overlooking the mountains opposite. Tasty food is served very friendly. Nice furnished restaurant. For hotel guests a part of the terrace is reserved. Access last over narrow street. Parking directly at the house. Right near the Nesslauer Wasserfall.
